How are parcels are shipped
We use Royal Mail for all of our day-to-day collections & deliveries, we may use a different carrier company should it be required when Royal Mail is not available or if the shipping requires it i.e. special delivery, guaranteed date required. Shipping times start from when the parcel has been collected and in with Royal Mail.
Delivery Timescales
Although we offer 24 and 48 hour tracking with Royal Mail, please note that these times are ONLY an approximate timescale and are NOT a guaranteed delivery date or service. 99% of all deliveries arrive within the 24-48 hour times from Royal Mail collections (usually 1-2 days after your order date) but sometimes there may be delays which our out of our control, some of the most common delays in delivery are highlighted below:
1. Adverse weather conditions.
2. Mail being sent to the wrong delivery office by Royal Mail.
3. Items being delivered to incorrect address.
2. Mail being lost.
3. Incorrect address given to us on shipping address.
We will always work with our customers to look into getting any parcels to you as soon as possible if there should be a delay or in the rare case that it is lost but please be advised that although your purchase is with us the shipping contract passes over to the carrier (Royal Mail or other carrier used) once you have made payment and therefore we cannot refund any shipping costs. Any goodwill gestures made by us will be made once your order has arrived with you and has been agreed by us but refunds are only given if your order has not arrived with you after 10 business days and has again been agreed by us first as Royal Mail will not process any claims before this timescale.
There are no collections on Saturday or Sunday although there may be deliveries on these days.
We currently have 2 shipping options for delivery which are:
Royal Mail 48hr ® (Tracked)
2-3 business days from posting/collection (Monday to Friday)
Royal Mail 24hr ® (Tracked)
1-2 business days from posting/collection (Monday to Friday)
Please be advised that this is only an approximate time-scale given for parcels collected/posted using Royal Mail, parcels can take longer if there are any delays/strikes etc which unfortunately is out of our control but this is rare. If your order has not arrived to you within 10 business days (Excluding weekends) from order please contact us to advise.
All parcels are collected by Royal Mail at 4.30pm every week day so the cut-off for placing any orders on the store to be collected the same day is 3pm. If your order is placed on a Friday after 3pm it will be collected on the following Monday at 4.30pm.
All parcels over £30 will automatically be sent out via Royal Mail 48hr (Tracked) unless anything changes to our policy. We currently only charge for part of the postage to help keep costs down for both the customer and ourselves although the actual cost is a lot higher. There is also the option to upgrade to 24hr (Tracked) for an additional £1 should you want your parcel sooner.
How are parcels are packaged
All of our items are carefully packed using fully recyclable packaging that has been selected to get your parcel to you as it left us, this is why we use heavy padded envelopes and outer poly mailing bags to double protect your parcel(s) and it’s contents.
Payment
Payment for goods and related delivery charges must always be made in advance and you will be prompted to pay during the order process, apart from Bank Transfer (BACS) When you place an order via Bank Transfer your order will go through the same as placing an order via Opayo or PayPal except you will receive an email with payment details on.
We currently have 3 different options for you to make payment for your order.
1. Opayo (Visa, Visa Debt, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Debt, Maestro)
2. PayPal (Visa, Visa Debt, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Debt, Maestro)
3. Bank Transfer (You will be given bank details to make offline payment)
